Acer Diabolicum Japanese Devil Maple

Acer diabolicum, commonly called horned maple, is a rare Japanese species distinguished by its unusually prominent, horn-like structures on the seed pods, the source of its name. The deeply lobed leaves emerge in spring alongside small red flowers, then transition to vibrant yellow and orange tones in autumn. This tree develops a broad, rounded form and typically reaches 10-15 feet tall within ten years, making it suitable for gardens with moderate space.
