Acer davidii Hansu suru

Hansu suru is a variegated cultivar of Acer davidii with polymorphic foliage that may appear entirely yellow, partly variegated, or completely green on the same plant. The leaves are typical of the species but somewhat smaller, and the plant develops a bushier habit than wild-type specimens. It grows vigorously to approximately 8 feet tall and wide, though branches may occasionally revert to non-variegated growth. Part shade is recommended to prevent foliar scorch on highly variegated leaves.
